According to TomsHardware, Huawei recently held the 2025 Huawei Connectivity Conference in Shanghai. Huawei Vice Chairman and Rotating Chairman Wang Tao revealed during the event that due to insufficient production capacity to meet domestic demand, there are currently no plans to fully enter the international market. However, a small amount of products will be supplied to "some countries with particularly strong demand".

At the MWC 2022 held in Barcelona, Spain earlier this year, Huawei showcased its latest hypernode products and solutions overseas for the first time, covering multiple models.

Huawei stated that through innovative "cluster super node" architecture, it aims to build a solid computing power base and emphasizes its commitment to open source and providing new choices for the world.

Subsequently, it was reported that Huawei plans to enter the Korean AI chip market in the fourth quarter of 2026, which will be its first large-scale entry into overseas markets.

From the current situation, Huawei has temporarily shelved its global AI chip promotion plan.

It has been disclosed that Huawei's next-generation Ascend 900 series AI accelerator will only be sold in China and will not enter the international market. The company confirmed this arrangement this week. The upcoming Ascend 960 series Neural Network Processor (NPU) has capabilities comparable to some existing AI GPUs from AMD and Nvidia, but there is also uncertainty in overseas demand.
