The Exynos 2600 is the world's first chip built using 2nm GAA technology, marking a significant milestone in the global semiconductor industry.
At present, it has entered the mass production stage, with the first release of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Two models, Galaxy S26 and S26, will be equipped with this chip. Initially, it will only be sold in the Korean domestic market, and other regional models will still prioritize the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon chips
The Exynos 2600 adopts a 10 core CPU design, specifically consisting of 1 C1 Ultra ultra large core (3.8GHz), 3 C1 Pro high-performance cores (3.25GHz), and 6 Arm C1 Pro high-performance cores (2.75GHz). It cancels the previous generation's "large, medium, small" three cluster structure and upgrades all small cores to core.
Support Arm v9.3 architecture and Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2) instruction set, enhance CPU side machine learning capabilities, improve AI computing efficiency and processing speed, and reduce response latency.
The overall CPU computing performance has improved by up to 39% compared to the previous generation, while the energy efficiency ratio has been optimized synchronously, balancing peak performance and daily battery life.
The GPU adopts Exynos Xclipse 960, with a comprehensive upgrade in architecture. The overall graphics computing performance has increased by about 2 times compared to the previous generation, and the ray tracing performance has increased by up to 50%
Introducing ENSS (Exynos Neural Super Sampling) technology to achieve resolution super-resolution and frame generation through AI, improving the smoothness of the gaming experience by up to three times under limited power consumption.
It is worth noting that the Exynos 2600 is the first in the industry to use the HPB (Heat Path Block) thermal path optimization module in a mobile SoC, combined with High-k EMC (high dielectric constant electromagnetic compatibility material), to optimize the heat conduction path, reducing thermal resistance by up to 16% and quickly dispersing heat inside the chip.
Exynos 2600 integrates 32K MAC NPU and focuses on optimizing generative AI tasks, with a performance improvement of 113% compared to the previous generation. It can smoothly run larger scale end-to-end AI models, achieve intelligent image editing, AI assistant and other functions
At the same time, for the first time in the industry, hybrid quantum encryption with hardware backup has been integrated into mobile SoCs, combined with virtualization security technology to achieve ROM recorded level protection and enhance end-to-end AI data privacy security.
In terms of ISP, the Exynos 2600 supports up to 320MP single camera 108MP@30fps Single camera, 64MP 32MP dual camera; Support DVNR and APV codecs; Video capability supports 8K 30fps encoding and 8K 60fps decoding; Supports HEVC (H.265), H.264, VP9, and AV1 formats.
Equipped with an AI Visual Perception System (VPS), it can recognize detailed elements (such as blinking and dynamic objects) in images/videos in real time, reducing processing power consumption by 50% compared to previous generations; Support deep learning video denoising (DVNR) technology to improve video quality in low light environments while controlling power consumption.
