Now, market research firm Counterpoint Research has released the China smartphone market share ranking for the third quarter of this year, with vivo continuing to maintain first place.

The report points out that due to the slowdown in economic growth and reduced demand, China's smartphone sales in the third quarter of 2025 decreased by 2.7% year-on-year.

From the perspective of manufacturer performance, in the third quarter of 2025, under the impact of intensified market competition, vivo's market share dropped to 18.5%, but it still maintained its first place.

Huawei closely follows, with a market share of 16.4%.

Xiaomi and OPPO both performed better than the same period last year, with corresponding market shares of 16.2% and 15.4%, respectively, with one growing by 1.1% and the other growing by 2.1%.

Especially Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 17 series has also received strong market feedback since its launch, especially the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, whose excellent performance made Xiaomi the second fastest growing mainstream smartphone brand after Apple in the first ten days of October.

Honor and Apple ranked fifth and sixth, with market shares of 14.4% and 13.6%, respectively.

For the upcoming market performance, Counterpoint believes that Apple will have a good performance, as the iPhone 17 series has maintained a strong growth momentum in sales in China since its launch in September.
